HOME & COMMUNITY SERVICES

Supporting You Where You Live

Good nutrition is the foundation for healthy aging—and we’re here to make it accessible, enjoyable, and meaningful.

Aging & In-Home Services’ (AIHS) Nutrition Program, funded by the Older Americans Act (OAA), helps adults 60 and older stay strong, independent, and connected through nutritious meals and social support.

How the Program Helps

  • Home-Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels): Nutritious meals brought right to your doorstep—perfect for those who have difficulty shopping or cooking.
  • Congregate Meals: Enjoy healthy meals in a community setting, fostering friendship, conversation, and connection while promoting wellness.
  • Nutrition Education: Helpful tips and resources to encourage better eating habits and healthier lifestyles.
  • Food Security Support: Ensuring that older adults don’t have to choose between food, medicine, or other essentials.

Why It Matters

The Nutrition Program goes beyond the plate. It’s about:

  • Reducing food insecurity among older adults.
  • Encouraging socialization to prevent isolation and loneliness.
  • Supporting overall health and well-being with balanced meals.

Who Is Eligible?

The program is open to anyone 60 and older, regardless of income. Spouses of eligible participants and caregivers may also qualify.
